An Efficient Robust Nonparametric Triple EWMA Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Control Chart for Process Location

The nonparametric (NP) control charts are famous for detecting a shift in the process parameters (location and/or dispersion) when underlying characteristic does not follow distributional assumptions. Similarly, cost of estimations is very high and ranking observational relatively simple, ranked set sampling (RSS) technique preferred over simple random (SRS) technique. On other hand, NP triple exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) chart based on SRS superior to EWMA double (NP DEWMA) detect location. This study designed an advanced form TEWMA Wilcoxon signed-rank RSS, denoted as TEWMA − SR RSS identify location parameter. Monte Carlo simulation method used assess performance proposed id="M2"> along with SRS-based (TEWMA-SR), sign (TEWMA-SN), id="M3"> X ¯ , RSS-based DEWMA-SR id="M4"> DEWMA charts. shows that id="M5"> more efficient identifying shifts (especially small shifts) than existing Finally, real-life application also provided practical implementation id="M6"> chart.
